Government of Rajasthan has been very proactive in getting its High Delivery Load facilities as LaQshya certified. Recently District Hospital, Sirohi was certified as a LaQshya facility by Government of India.
District Hospital, Sirohi not only worked on bringing its quality of care at par with LaQshya standards, but also set an example for others to continue services during public health emergencies. A separate COVID Labour room was set up near MCH wing for delivery of COVID-19 positive women.
Norway India Partnership (NIPI) is providing technical and programmatic support to the facility and state stakeholders in the process of certification. NIPI project team has supported LaQshya assessments, mentoring and monitoring visits to various facilities and facilitated LaQshya certification process at the state level.
In order to avoid risks associated with travel and contact, state of Rajasthan in line with guidance from MOHFW, has planned to conduct virtual assessment of the facilities for LaQshya certification in the current crisis. With support of NIPI, State health society held orientation meeting of the district key stakeholders for virtual tour of Labour room and maternity OT for LaQshya assessment.
For virtual assessment of DH, Sirohi, National Health Systems Resource Centre nominated State Program officer, Maternal Health NIPI for facilitating National Level Virtual Assessment of the facility. NIPI team coordinated with National Assessors & facility level team and successfully facilitated virtual tour of the LR and maternity OT through Zoom meeting platform. National Level LaQshya virtual assessment was conducted on 15 September 2020.
NHSRC certified District Hospital, Sirohi (Labour Room and Maternity Operation theatre) as LaQshya facility on 22nd October 2020.
